BRISE i-2010 Lab Treviso Conference
Next 22 May 2007, the Province of Treviso (Italy) will hold the Second International “i2010 Lab - A Practical Guide to EU Information Society”, organised within the frame of the Interreg IIIc Project BRISE “Boosting Regional Information Society Expertises”.
That Conference follows up the First International Conference “i2010 for European Regions and Cities”, organised in the city of Olomouc - Czech Republic, last 26-27 September 2006, during which the most important Information Society issues were presented and discussed in the light of the new “i2010” European Commission programme.
The Conference will take place in the morning and will develop into a following breaking up of the participants into three afternoon parallel sessions, organized as follows:
1. Regional Knowledge Economy: regional development projects with companies, researchers and local institutions;
2. Mobile Public Services – Always on public services: Wireless solutions for access to e-government services;
3. Digital Libraries and Contents: technologies to enhance learning and access to the cultural heritage contents.
The Conference “i2010 Lab – A Practical Guide to EU Information Society” will see the participation of international experts in the field of Information Society and of the funding programmes promoted by the European Union within the new programming period 2007 – 2013, besides the participation of the representatives of the Directorate-General Information Society, Directorate-General Regional Policy and of the European Commission Representation in Italy.
The Conference targets administrators of local bodies, companies, universities and all those people interested in knowing the European funding programmes, aimed at the spread of the Information Society, according to the indications of the Lisbon European Council.
