Proposal submitted to INTERREG IVC on 15 January 2008
ERNACT has submitted a proposal to the 1st call of INTERREG IVC, which closed on 15 January 2008. The project, named PIKE (Promoting Innovation and the Knowledge Economy), is a partnership of 10 European regions and 6 Regional policy decision makers, located in 8 different countries.
The project aims to improve regional and local Innovation & Knowledge Economy policies through the exchange, sharing and transfer of ICT best practices in the areas of eGovernment, eBusiness and Wireless and by integrating them into the Convergence, Regional Competitiveness and Employment and European Territorial Cooperation policy of the regions.
The regional partners are ERNACT (lead partner), Derry City Council (N. Ireland) , Donegal County Council (Ireland), Galway County Council (Ireland), Olomouc Regional Authority (Czech Republic), Bulgaria South East Region, Region of Sterea Ellada (Greece), Association of Local Authorities in Vasternorrland (Sweden), Commune di Bologna (Italy), EMCANTA Cantabria (Spain).
The 8 Regional policy decision makers are also involved as partners.
