Recruitment of Retail in Rural Regions Project Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Retail in Rural Regions Project Officer.
This post will be analogous to a Grade V (Staff Officer) for pay and related purposes. It is expected that a contract will be offered to the successful candidate for a period up to September 2011.
Location: The post will be based in the offices of Donegal County Council, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal.
Salary: €40,213 per annum
The applicant for this post will demonstrate that they are self-starters and have relevant previous work experience with European funded projects, experience in preparation of project claims and working with IT. The project work will involve working with the participating Retailers and the provision of related training courses, and working with the wider retail sector through linkages with representative bodies such as Chambers of Commerce and Business groups. Recruitment of participants and trainers, and reporting on project outcomes, will form part of the work programme. The Project Officer will also be liaising and working closely with other European Project Partners. The post holder will require access to transport. A third level qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Interviews will be held on 25th and 26th February 2010.
